This hasn't been a great race for favourite backers with only two jollies obliging in the past ten years. SQUALL is the tentative suggestion with Chiefdom Prince and Diescentric amongst other likely looking types. Jeremy Noseda has provided the winner of this race twice in recent years and it's always worth taking note when he employs the services of Frankie Dettori as the pair have a strike rate that's better than one in four. The Newmarket handler's record on the Rowley Mile is less encouraging but Squall looks the part on paper and is put forwards. Chiefdom Prince is a half-brother to some useful types and is another that represents a yard that has enjoyed some success in this race whilst Henry Cecil's horses are running well and he saddles an interesting newcomer in Diescentric who is also related to some fair sorts. Not surprisingly, most of these make some appeal on paper but none of the field have any big race entries to help guide us so Squall can only be a tentative pick.
