Emperor Hadrian started favourite for his opening run at the Curragh but like most of the Ballydoyle runners so far looked in need of the run and could only finish seventh behind High Award. He will have come on but there is no logical reason why he should finish in front of Madeira Man, who was over three lengths ahead of him in fifth and just as likely to make progress. The winner that day was trained by Tommy Stack who's runners have been in unstoppable form and his newcomer MR MOJITO, by Danehill Dancer out of a mare who scored over the minimum trip as a two-year-old, can continue the stable's brilliant start to the season. Ger Lyons' Footstepsinthesand colt The Reaper may do best of the rest though he's out of a mare who scored over 1m4f.
