In depth

Verdict

Richard Hannon holds a strong hand in this. Commander Crouch has yet to win on Turf but has won over this trip on Tapeta while Mr Baloo is on a hat-trick after victories at Salisbury and Epsom. The Camden Colt was just beaten over a mile here last month but is effectively 8lb higher with Sean Levey taking over the reins from an apprentice. Watcha Matey wasn’t winning out of turn on the July course here in August while Beverley second Conde could be interesting off the bottom rung. Witness Stand and James's Delight make their handicap debuts but the former failed to land the odds at Yarmouth latest and the latter has gone up 5lb for finishing third at Naas. KINGDOM OF RICHES pulled much too hard in a Listed race at Doncaster after winning at Leicester. That wasn’t his form and he should fare better here if finding some cover.
