Smart hurdlers have a good record in this marathon handicap over the years and John Constable, Lagostovegas, London Prize, Snow Falcon and Who Dares Wins all fit the bill. Ryan Moore partners Lagostovegas but Who Dares Wins is preferred having won the trial for this over track and trip three weeks ago. Dubawi Fifty has won both starts this year including over 1m6f at Nottingham in August while WITHHOLD has had just the one outing this season and looks to have been laid out for this. Roger Charlton’s charge will be sharper today having beaten London Prize when scoring over 2m at Haydock last term and gets the vote. Endless Acres found only Thomas Hobson too good in the Ascot Stakes over 2m4f in June while First Mohican was runner-up in last year’s renewal off a similar mark. Euchen Glen could go well and Time To Study is preferred to stablemate Watersmeet.
