STEELE TANGO has been in terrific form in Dubai and also has a formidable record over this C&D, winning in this grade as a four-year-old and finishing second in the Darley Stakes here in October. Roger Teal's charge is fancied to improve on last year's fourth in this race when in obvious need of the run. Polytechnicien has already won at Deauville and Saint-Cloud this year but has a penalty to carry here and more interesting is the lightly-raced Elusive Pimpernel, who won the Craven Stakes at this meeting last year and finished fifth in the 2000 Guineas on his only subsequent start. Forte Dei Marmi goes well fresh and is another with claims, while Jet Away looks the pick of Henry Cecil's pair though has yet to prove himself at this level.
