As usual a top class line up for this Nell Gwyn Stakes and the unbeaten Top Romance is taken to enhance her 1000 guineas claims, with Bay Tree, Snow Goose and Lucky Pipit just three of the dangers. Sir Michael Stoute's filly easily landed her maiden at Yarmouth before gamely beating some decent types in the Oh So Sharp stakes here in October. Further progression is fully expected and she looks the one to beat. Bay Tree disappointed in the Rockfel Stakes here in October but may have had enough for the season. Her previous efforts included a comprehensive victory in the Sweet Solera stakes and as she won on her two-year-old debut fitness shouldn't be a problem. Lucky Pipit had a terrific first season, winning at Kempton and Sandown before finishing a gallant third in the May Hill at Doncaster, the stable is back amongst the winners and we expect a big run from this well bred filly. Snow Goose hails from last year's winning stable and has to be respected on her second in the Rockfel Stakes, but like most of the others she is quite well exposed and this often falls to a filly with potential and Top Romance fits the bill.
