Stencive ran in a Listed race on the Rowley Mile course in May but was beaten at odds-on back in a maiden at Ripon last month and may find a couple of these have more scope. Mahmood Al Zarooni holds a strong hand with the once-raced pair MARSHGATE LANE and Nottingham second Ruwaiyan and it's the former that gets the vote as he was only beaten a neck by Touch Gold on his debut over a mile here last month and the winner went on to win a competitive handicap at Yarmouth by five lengths. The extra distance shouldn't be a problem. Awake My Soul can build on his C&D second and shouldn't be far away as he holds Dr Yes on that run. The latter's stablemate, Keeping Time, may need more experience while this looks a big ask for Leo Luna on debut. Filly Rose Season may be the pick of the remainder though Blazing Speed is also open to improvement.
