Verdict

Aidan O'Brien won this in 2005 with Horatio Nelson and will be hopeful that GLENEAGLES can follow suit. A son of Galileo out of a Cherry Hinton winner, he confirmed the good impression he made on his debut to land a Curragh maiden in impressive fashion and there looks much more to come. He's handed the vote over Lieutenant Kaffee, who has looked very smart in both races to date, especially when outpointing the well-regarded Diaz at Haydock. The runner-up is trained by Mark Johnston, whose Mister Universe made all over 6f at York, giving notice that there's more in the locker. Estidhkaar landed what looked a strong Newbury maiden while Archie justified strong support to make a winning debut at Haydock and his dam has now produced winners with her first three foals.
