Resplendent Glory has a fitness edge on the field, and can beat Nota Bene and Crosspeace. The Terry Mills trained colt has landed two Lingfield events in good style. The most recent was a very competitive handicap where he showed great determination to beat Francis Cadell by a head. The runner up went on to finish second in the valuable Spring cup, so the form is rock solid. Nota Bene progressed well last season, culminating in a victory in a valuable conditions race here. He is expected to make even greater strides this season and looks a banker for some place money. Crosspeace managed a couple of victories last season, the latest in a handicap at Doncaster. The stable is in top form so has to be a danger to all. Best of the others could be Michael Stoute's Hornpipe, but with fitness guaranteed, Resplendent Glory is the pick today.
