Elfin Queen is a half-sister to four winners but she’ll need to improve on a modest debut at Naas when easy to back. Newmarket’s bigger stables tend to dominate this maiden but Godolphin’s Echo's Love, who is trained by John Gosden, might need this. Charlie Appleby’s Spring Of Love looks a better option being a half-sister to useful miler Duneflower with William Buick preferring her to the Australia filly Beauty Stone, who is likely to do better over longer distances next year. KATARA also has a staying pedigree but her dam did win on soft going as a juvenile so she gets a tentative vote on condition that there are no market negatives. Waliyak is out of a Sea The Stars mare and also has a nice pedigree.
