      Verdict

Three-year-olds have good recent record in this Group 1 and GOLDEN HORDE (NAP) takes on older sprinters having won the Commonwealth Cup at Ascot in good style on his reappearance. There looks plenty more to come from Clive Cox’ colt and he’s taken to get the better of Hello Youmzain. The latter also landed a Group 1 sprint at Ascot when successful in the Diamond Jubilee and handles soft ground. Sceptical and Khaadem finished behind Kevin Ryan’s charge last time with Frankie partnering the former once again and the latter preferred to stablemate Equilateral, who steps up in trip after a good effort behind Battaash in the King’s Stand. Threat has plenty to find with the selection on two-year-old form but Oxted took a step forward with a Group 3 victory in the Abernant here last month. Southern Hills never figured in the Commonwealth Cup after a lengthy absence but it’s too soon to write off the Listed winner given Aiden O’Brien has sent out the last two winners of this.
