      Verdict

      Ascot third Miracle of Medinah sprang a surprise on Polytrack at Deauville a year ago but hasn’t won in this country since 2013. Only a short-head separated Summerghand and Wentworth Falls at Nottingham last month and there should be little between the pair again. Ashpan Sam and Repton are looking a few pounds too high while Alaadel makes a belated reappearance, though had Moonraker well beaten when winning at Newbury in October. HYPERFOCUS needs the promised rain to arrive but could be interesting if the ground eases as he’s now on a lower mark than when completing a double at Haydock last September.
