Verdict

Coupe De Ville is likely to start a short-priced favourite here having tackled pattern company in his last five starts. He was third in a Group 3 at Chantilly in June and has won twice at HQ over 7f but the worry is that he ran his one poor race this year over today's longer trip. KINGSDESIRE, on the other hand, is proven over 1m2f and, even though he has a bit to find on bare form, is fancied to bounce back to winning ways today. Clare Island Boy won over today's distance at Goodwood in June and was third to the smart Main Sequence here in the spring but is probably still his stable's second string.
