      Verdict

      Oasis Cannes has yet to run a bad race over 7f since making his debut over a shorter trip. He was only beaten a neck by Aussie Reigns when favourite at Goodwood last time and, despite a further 2lb rise in the weights, seems sure to be thereabouts again. But he could find one of his less-exposed rivals too good on this occasion with both Makafeh and Rafale coming here off the back of maiden wins having only had two starts. The latter's trainer, Richard Hannon, also fields Red Adair while Rated is standing up well to a busy schedule but the booking of Frankie Dettori for FREEPORT could be significant and Brian Meehan's colt, who's been keeping decent company in maidens, can make a winning debut in handicaps.
