Nine winners clash with Dhabab expected to be close to the head of the market after an eye-catching sixth in the Coventry Stakes, beaten just over two lengths. That entry in the premier 2-y-o colts' contest at the Royal meeting suggests he's well regarded by the Gosdens and this extra furlong seems an obvious next step. Austrian Theory and Private Signal finished one-two at Doncaster are are respected with improvement expected but the latter's stable companion, NATIVE TRAIL (NAP), gets the vote. He understandably took time to get the hang of things on his Sandown debut but cleared away impressively in the closing stages and will surely progress further. Chesham Stakes third, Great Max, is also going the right way and is a fair each-way option.
