Mark Johnston is certainly going all out to win this for the second year running. He has four entries and all would have a chance of sorts. Last year’s winner King’s Advice heads the weights but is 5lb higher, though did win later at Goodwood off an even higher mark. Star Of The East couldn’t quite get to Charlie D over this trip on the Rowley Mile 12 days ago but appears to have recovered his zest but Frankie rides Thirsk runner-up CAPE COAST and he looks the pick of the weights ahead of Ryan Moore’s mount Themaxwecan, who finished ahead of Ernesto, Amazing Red and Dubai Horizon at Ascot. Holy Kingdom is 2-2 at HQ this year so can’t be ignored while Christopher Wood, a useful hurdler, returned to the Flat with a victory at Pontefract and won’t mind recent rain.
