Barry Hills' record in this race is second to none and Misdaqeya looks to have been prepared with this race in mind. She's taken to provide the Lambourn handler with a welcome boost by overcoming the challenges of Rainbow View and The Legal Blonde. Misdaqeya wasn't given too hard a time of things on debut when coming home seventh of ten in a Newmarket maiden won by Danehill Destiny that has provided plenty of winners, including fourth placed Beat Seven who re-opposes here. She stepped up on that form when running another of today's rivals, Kissing The Camera, close at the same venue before running away with a Kempton maiden. The second won a decent race next time although the remainder appear to be a fairly moderate bunch. She clearly needs to improve to better a couple of today's rivals but the yard is in better nick now than at the start of the season and she appears to be progressing well. Beat Seven is tough and rates a danger but Kissing The Camera has to put a poor Ascot showing behind her where she was someway behind Rosabee. Minor Vamp makes the short-list as does Ballantrae who did well to extricate herself from a tricky position at Folkestone whilst The Legal Blonde and Yorksters Girl both look capable of laying down a challenge in this company. It's easy to pinpoint the principal threat though as Rainbow View currently sits third in the ante-post list for the Guineas following a scintillating performance over course and distance. She's likely to be all the rage here and it's hard to fault her performance although the time wasn't all that special. She may win but it's hard to envisage her being much of a price so we'll look elsewhere and Misdaqeya appeals as a sporting each-way alternative.
