      Verdict

      Mutasayyid can confirm recent Ascot running with Ashridge Lad but might have preferred a softer surface. There was plenty of give in the ground when Darrington won here two weeks ago but he's still preferred to Volunteer Point. Malaf and Misterioso are looking high enough in the weights and ALMOHTASEB (NAP) and Franklin D are the two with untapped potential. The former was the most impressive when shedding his maiden tag at Doncaster and a mark of 89 should be manageable as he makes his handicap debut.
