This Group 1 has produced a few upsets in recent seasons but INSPIRAL is entitled to be a short-priced favourite in this year’s renewal having come right back to form in the Prix Jacques Le Marois at Deauville last time. Heredia has a terrific strike-rate and arrives on a hat-trick but this will be her first run above Group 3 level. Mqse De Sevigne has won Group 1 races at Deauville the last twice but all of her wins have come with plenty of give in the ground and Meditate hasn’t managed a win so far this year, though she was second in the Irish 1,000 Guineas in May and later fourth in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot. Coppice won a Listed race over course and distance eight days ago but this is a much tougher assignment.
