This used to be a useful Oaks trial but its importance has diminished since Ouija Board went on to glory at Epsom in 2004. Hazel Lavery probably faces a stiff task at the weights while the likes of Arsaadi, Salford Art and What's Up are exposed in comparison to the remainder. Lacily holds an entry at Epsom, unlike stablemate Kailani, and was a relatively comfortable winner of her only start at Doncaster in the autumn. She should make her presence felt but Ralph Beckett's CUBANITA also has entries in all the top middle-distance races. She's from the same family as Yorkshire Oaks winner Key Change and, as she's already proved her ability to act on a soft surface, gets the nod. Red Hand, second in a Newbury maiden on her reappearance, should be winning soon and may be best of the rest.
