Verdict

Green Door certainly caught the eye on his debut at Newbury when finishing ahead of The Smart One and his experience will stand him in good stead here. David Brown trained New Pearl to win this last year so his filly Wind Fire is worth a second look in the betting while the Shamardal colt Crowdmania cost 115,000gns as a yearling and will know his job. Anjaal and Windfast are both stoutly-bred and may need more time, however, and more interesting are Piazon and NATHR. Both have a lot of speed in their pedigree but, as the latter cost £200,000 at the sales, he gets the nod.
