Verdict

Maureen beat Agent Allison in the Fred Darling at Newbury but finished behind Winning Express in the Cheveley Park here last year and stable jockey Richard Hughes prefers last year's Moyglare Stud Stakes winner Sky Lantern. Along with Winning Express, she was no match for the unbeaten HOT SNAP in the Nell Gwynn, however, and the daughter of Pivotal can land yet another classic for Sir Henry Cecil with that run under her belt. She has more scope than recent Maisons-Lafitte winner What A Name, though the French filly deserves respect on her second to Olympic Glory in the Grand Criterium in October. The Ballydoyle pair, Moth and Snow Queen, both have a bit to find but fellow Irish raider Rasmeyaa should improve and may be worth following this year. She's preferred to Just The Judge and Fillies' Mile second Roz.
