Verdict

Many of these have achieved an official rating and Heartbreak Hero comes out best despite a disappointing effort behind Secret Brief here last month. His previous form, when runner-up to Bond's Girl in another very lucrative event at Doncaster when attempting to concede 13lb, was a much better effort and it could have ben the soft ground that affected him last time. Secret Brief certainly enjoyed the going and had previously scored on good ground but whether he'll be as effective on this quicker surface is another matter though he should again take care of Bossy Guest, who finished runner-up. However, the one to take from the race is BALLYMORE CASTLE, who looked out with the washing at the furlong pole but finished with such an effect that he would certainly have troubled the front pair with a bit further to go. Today's extra furlong should be just what he requires and he can take this for Richard Fahey and David Nolan. Tannaaf could be a threat to all as he was a most impressive winner on his debut on the July Course, though the placed horses have been beaten subsequently. Misterioso didn't quite last home in the Royal Lodge a week ago and a return to this trip can bring about an improved effort.
