GAME STARTER split a couple of decent handicappers, now rated 92 and 93 respectively, on his debut at Redcar last year and made a winning reappearance here in June, beating a horse rated 88. A mark of 90 looks fair on his first run in a handicap and he has more scope than any of these. Brorocco was back on song reverting to his best trip at Yarmouth and is a previous course and distance winner. He might be a couple of pounds too high but should give a good account. Grapevine is due a change of luck and shouldn’t be written off just yet while Visitant hasn’t done much wrong this year. Dr Julius No was staying on over a mile here last time and should also get involved if lasting home.
Brorocco 4-1 (9-3) Slowly away, keen, soon in touch, close up halfway, led over 3f out, ridden 2f out, headed inside final furlong, lost 2nd near finish, 3rd of 7, 1l behind Good Omen (8-12) at Yarmouth 1m 2f hcp (2) gd in Jul.
Grapevine (IRE) 9-1 (9-3) Tracked leaders, not clear run and switched left 2f out, short of room entering final furlong, kept on, 4th of 6, 2 3/4l behind Euginio (9-4) at Sandown 1m 2f hcp (2) gf in Jul.
Farquhar (IRE) 33-1 (8-10) Prominent, led after 4f, soon switched towards inside rail, clear over 6f out to 3f out, ridden and headed over 2f out, weakened final furlong, last of 16, 20 3/4l behind Dylan Mouth (9-10) at Haydock 1m 4f hcp (2) gf in Jul.
Visitant 5-2fav (10-0) Held up towards rear, ridden and headway over 1f out, chased winner inside final furlong, no impression, 2nd of 8, 4l behind Novoman (9-5) at York 1m 2f hcp (4) gf in Jul.
Dr Julius No 3-1 (9-5) Tracked leader, driven to challenge over 1f out, soon every chance, kept on same pace closing stages, 2nd of 7, 1l behind Private Mission (9-1) at Newmarket 1m hcp (3) gf in Jul.

Breden (IRE) 14-1 (9-5) Held up in rear, some headway over 1f out, never dangerous, 4th of 7, 7 1/4l behind Toulson (9-0) at Windsor 1m 2f hcp (3) gs in May.
