In depth

Verdict

Several of these were in very good form on the all-weather in the spring including the top three in the handicap. COUNT OTTO didn't manage a victory but was only beaten a neck in a Class 2 at Lingfield and is on exactly the same mark as when last successful at Epsom last summer. Mia Mento was having only her second start since transferring from Ireland when narrowly beaten at Newcastle in March while Ginger Fox, who scored three times over the winter, wasn't right when trailing in last at Lingfield. Drummond Warrior, a winner at Windsor in June and beaten a neck over this track and trip the following month, has had wind surgery since a couple of poor runs and can bounce back while Les Eyre wouldn't be sending ten-times winner Highly Sprung from Yorkshire just for the outing.
