      Verdict

      Ventura Ocean is edging closer but never looked like catching the winner when runner-up at Doncaster and BLONDE WARRIOR (NAP) makes more appeal. The latter posted a much better effort when third in this grade at Yarmouth in June and the runner-up went on to land a decent handicap at this venue. Fastman ran well enough at York last time without threatening though has the beating of Praxidice on collateral form while Jaleel scored over track and trip earlier but ran no sort of race back here last time and is fitted with headgear. The remainder don’t look particularly well handicapped but Motagally may improve for the extra distance.
