Verdict

As usual this promises to be an enthralling affair and is one of the most interesting races of the season to date. Kutub comes here on the back of three Group 1 wins on the continent last season, but faces a stiff task in carrying a 5lb penalty in his bid to extend his Group-race winning run. Although any more rain would be a big plus for him. Storming Home is as tough as they come and although he landed the Group 2 King Edward VII Stakes at Ascot in June, his best effort last term came when coming home a fraction over three lengths behind Galileo and Fantastic Light at the same course a month later. High Pitched is another who will find cut in the ground to his liking and did nothing wrong as he progressed through the second half of last season. He is still a little in-experienced in comparison to some of these but he remains a horse of enormous potential. Asian Heights returns after a gallops injury kept him off the track for most of last term and it will be of great interest to see how much ability he retains now he is aged four. Marienbard also commands respect and a repeat of his effort when finishing close-up behind Nayef in the Sheema Classic will see him go very close here. However Millenary is a top-class perfromer and was very impressive when wining this last year. His record speaks for its'self and the 2000 St ledger winner looks like being a worthy favourite in a cracking renewal.
