In depth

Verdict

Asking has only won at Market Rasen so far but he has a chance of going close on these terms. He ran a fair race last time, where he found the tacky underfoot conditions against him in the closing stages. The step up in trip here along with the better ground should be more in his favour and he has a better chance of lasting home. Rapier fared well on his first outing for some time last month and could go well again as he was not over-stretched then. His best efforts have been when fresh and he could prove to be the biggest danger. Barley Meadow and Pridewood Fuggle are others to consider at larger odds.
