      Verdict

      BERKSHIRE PHOENIX was sent off favourite at Bath on last month’s debut but was hampered early in the race and ran green to finish fourth. He’ll know more today and gets another chance with Oisin Murphy taking over the reins. Ascot third War Of Courage is preferred to Dig Two while the Hannon yard won the last renewal of this and Secret Strength has a speedier pedigree than My Dubawi of the newcomers.
