        Verdict

        Andrew Balding's Irony was good value for his win at Leicester last month and is taken to confirm superiority over Rum Jungle from the midlands venue, getting the verdict over Harare. The last mentioned put up an improved performance when successful over a mile at Chester last month but an 8lb rise for that effort and the return to seven furlongs may prevent him from following up. Vicky Haigh's Musical Beat has run consistently well of late and should again be thereabouts but may once more have to settle for minor honours, while Trafalgar Square needs to improve on recent form to have any chance in this company. The vote then goes to Irony who is taken to supplement his recent Leicester success.
