Tarfah can gain her biggest success to date, with Shapira, Red Bloom and La Persiana seen as her main rivals in this Group 3 contest. Tarfah only tasted defeat once last season, and that was at Chester, but she went on from there to score in Listed company at Ascot in September. Gerard Butler's filly then showed that she had trained on by making all in a fillies Listed event at Kempton on her return to the fray in March, and on breeding this nine-furlong trip will suit her down to the ground. The German raider Shapira has not been out since finishing seventh in Group 1 company at Longchamp last October, but does not race much anyway and she will be fit enough. With Kieren Fallon booked, she will no doubt be a live danger, perhaps more so than Red Bloom. The fact that Sir Michael Stoute keeps her in training as a four-year-old suggests that she should be followed, but the trip is a worry judged on her last effort at The Curragh. She may need to be stepped up in distance this season and is best watched here. La Persiana is a half-sister to Grand Lodge and connections will be keen for her to win at least a Listed race to increase her paddock value. they might just be flying a bit too high in this Group company but she deserves a crack on last season's efforts. With more to come though, Tarfah is the selection.
