A chance is taken with DANUM DANCER, who was just ahead of Captain Royale the last time they met in competitive action. Cayman Fox is a speedy individual that has thrived since a recent switch in training regimes and rates as the biggest danger this afternoon. He is at the top of his game but, as is the case with Captain Royale, Linda Perrett's charge faces a tough assignment under a 6lb penalty this afternoon. A case can also be made for Drumpellier, who has enjoyed a revival in fortunes of late. It's noteworthy that both her previous wins have been at Ripon but, as she does act on a galloping surface, it would be dangerous to leave out of the equation. However, in the search for a value option, it's Danum Dancer, who gets the nod. The mount of Danny Tudhope has dropped to a favourable mark and, as he is sure to be suited by the ground, the likelihood of generous odds makes this fellow a very appealing betting proposition in a wide open handicap.
