Verdict

PLAYING THE FIELD likes it here and, dropped a couple of pounds since finishing third over 3m earlier in the month, can defy top weight against these. Doberdan won at Catterick in December but disappointed at the same track over a long trip the following month and hasn't been seen since while Emperor Charlie is still struggling to get off the mark, despite plunging down the handicap. Shoal Bay Dreamer has hinted at ability but is often let down by his jumping and it's hard to make a case for the other two.
