It may be prudent to give Lord Of Illusion the chance to redeem himself after unseating Jason Maguire in better race than this at Wetherby last month and the Tom George-trained gelding is selected over Exstoto, Lunar Maxwell and Loy's Lad. The selection was travelling really well when he came down last time and would at least have made the frame had he managed to negotiate a clear round. He is sure to have undergone schooling sessions since then and can put things right this afternoon. The son of Mister Lord had previously shown that he goes well when their is plenty of juice in the ground and will be hard to beat if his confidence has not suffered from his minor blip. Exstoto hails from a yard that is as shrewd as they come and is the obvious one to side with if the betting market reveals a lack of faith in Lord Of Illusion.
