In depth

Verdict

Bowerman is talented but obviously difficult to keep sound. He won at Kempton in April 2017 and again at Chelmsford in December of that year but didn't reappear until earlier this month where he was well supported but broke a blood vessel. BOBBY K has won twice on Polytrack and once on Fibresand in his seven starts. He's only 2lb higher than his victory at Lingfield in November and Simon Crisford should have him ready. Trevithick has no fitness concerns having won here in January before twice being beaten narrowly by Rey Loopy on return visits and it will be a surprise if he's not there at the finish. Gurkha Friend, seven times a winner on Turf, had never reached a place on the all-weather before a short-head third at Wolverhampton last month.
