Verdict

Woodview won this race last year and is capable on his day, Nelliedonethat has a clear chance but MISTRAL DE LA COUR is the pick. Nelliedonethat is unpenalised for a cosy success at Musselburgh so has to be on the short-list but all of his best form is over longer distances than this trip so it makes sense to try and find one to beat him. Woodview isn't too badly treated but is impossible to predict, Sound Of Cheers ran second to him last year and is also on a fair mark but was tailed off last time. Dawn Ride is a course and distance winner on good to soft and he may have found the heavy ground too testing for his liking at Carlisle on his latest start so he comes right into the picture. We'll take a chance with Mistral De La Cour who shaped as though he was coming into form at Carlisle last time when staying on strongly over an inadequate two miles to finish an encouraging fourth. He had to wait three years between beating Kauto Star and gaining a third success but Mistral De La Cour may not have to wait as long for his fourth success.
