Winchester, Majed, Gatorade and Aelred look the four to concentrate on in the finale and the vote is given to Winchester. The selection made a very pleasing return to racecourse action after a whole season off the track when winning at Wetherby over 2m at Wetherby last month. He beat Argento in what was a decent contest and this unexposed type looks like he could prove to be quite useful if he can continue to improve. Majed won well last time at Wincanton when beating Joe Deane, but he is not the most consistent and as stamina seems to be his biggest asset, the drop in trip is not sure to suit. Gatorade is another that would have stronger claims if this were over further, but he is in fair form and he is game sort so he can't be ruled out of making the frame. Aelred finished last on his seasonal reappearance and although he will come on for that run, he is proving to be a little frustrating to follow. This is an open contest to round off the card and for the winner we return to the progressive Winchester.
