Verdict

The winners of the last three renewals all take part. The most recent was Milborough last year when 2014 winner Wyck Hill fell and 2012 winner Portrait King was well beaten. But Milborough is worse off at the weights this time round with the runner-up SUMMERY JUSTICE (NAP), who wasn’t beaten far but finished well clear of the third Woodford County. Venetia Williams' charge is taken to go one better today. Shotgun Paddy unseated after a blunder when favourite for this last season and is now 3lb lower but Russe Blanc has been raised 12lb for his latest success in a Grade 3 handicap at Warwick. Ballyculla is upped only 4lb having beaten Russe Blanc at Bangor in December and Rocking Blues is penalised for an easy win at Kelso. Well beaten in this last year, Beforeall made a winning return at Fakenham recently while Lackamon ended a long losing run when successful at Catterick last month but both have more on the plate here.
