    Verdict

Valeureux was all set for a comfortable victory in an amateurs event at Market Rasen last week but was denied when falling at the last. James Hetherton's charge was clear at the time and, with conditions in his favour, this former useful Flat performer is the TEAMtalk selection to gain compensation. Captain's Leap was made to work hard to land his bumper at Musselburgh last term before running below par next time and is readily opposed on his hurdling debut following an eight-month absence. Sahem failed to last home over 2m4f on testing ground here last time and will appreciate the drop back in trip and, along with the promising Middlethorpe, looks best of the rest.
