Rioja Day returned an easy winner at Ayr last time but has been raised 10lb for his trouble. Gold Beau went close over 6f here recently but has done all his winning so far over the latter trip while Faintly’s earlier successes came in plating company. COOPERESS scored over today’s trip in a higher grade at Sandown during the summer and has been placed the last twice. She may prove good enough in this with Fire Diamond perhaps best of the rest having slipped down the weights recently.
