JUST FIVE is fancied to land the finale. Lakeman and Minturno are forwarded as the best of the rest. Minturno landed a similar race at Redcar in May - benefitting from a superbly timed ride from Willie Supple. The in-form Tom Queally is very able deputy and, from just a 3lb higher mark, the Anne Duffield-trained colt can go close in this company. Lakeman struggled with the handicapper last season and looked harshly treated on what he achieved. However, the gelding is now being cut some slack, so is worth keeping on the right side. Nevertheless, Just Five has really started to blossom lately and, as the form of last month's course success appears solid, the form of the Michael Dods-trained gelding makes for the best reading in the lucky last.
