The meeting draws to a close with a poor event which in truth is little better than a seller and low stakes are advised but Lord Pat could provide the answer. Kate Milligan's charge was an impressive winner at Market Rasen last time and, clearly well suited by both trip and ground, may be able to defy a subsequent 7lb rise under his regular conditional jockey. Le Sauvage is well treated on the pick of his form but has struggled of late and was a distant runner-up in a weak event on his latest start. Blossom Whispers, who had some useful Flat form in the context of this race, takes a significant drop in grade and represents a powerful yard so, despite being well beaten on all her hurdling starts to date, has to be a consideration for a place. Mighty Minster and Golden Thunderbolt have claims of sorts on their best form but neither have been showing enough of late to warrant support.
