This race looks to be at the mercy of the Barry Hills trained Lion Hunter. A son of Quest For Fame, there was a lot to like in his gallant second at Pontefract last time and he looks sure to prove hard to beat. Chief opposition is likely to come from the unraced Supremacy who represents Sir Michael Stoute and who is bred to need the trip and will probably go a good deal further. Dune Safari is the only other to consider but must have disappointed connections when beaten out of sight on his debut. He should improve for the experience but is unlikely to prove a match for Lion Hunter.
