Pickwick Ayr is a tentative choice in a trappy handicap where (if you go back far enough) a case can be made for the majority of the runners! In midfield over seven furlongs at Thirsk last time, Jim Goldie's second string will really appreciate the ease in the ground and the extra furlong. Stable companion Highland Warrior is also entitled to respect on his good second here a week ago but he needs fast ground to be seen at his best and the forecast doesn't look too promising for him. Armsacrossthesea and Internationalguest both carry penalties for recent successes and look vulnerable, and of more interest could be Barry Hills' representative Dear Bridie, running in a handicap for the first time and looking fairly treated at the weights.
