In depth

Verdict

Viscount Rossini is on top form at the moment but is opposed here with ONE BLACK CAT while Pimbo Lane also has decent claims. The selection shaped well on her handicap debut last time to place in her first start for six months. Her novice form is a bit sketchy but she seemed to improve for handicap company and she will come on from that last run. Viscount Rossini has been running really well this season and was a winner on his penultimate start over this sort of trip. He was raised seven pounds for that and despite having that offset by a conditional jockeys claim he finished in second next time out. Up a further two pounds for that performance he runs off a rating that he is yet to score off of. Pimbo Lane showed much improvement on her seasonal reappearance finishing as runner-up in a novice event, which suggested she may be maturing. She seems well treated on her handicap debut and looks a danger. Chief Scout has been showing some form this season and shouldn't be discounted while Burnbank finally showed some ability over timber last time but the vote goes to One Black Cat.
