    Verdict

Gantier, a maiden winner at Chelmsford in February, has had three starts on Tapeta at Wolverhampton and been beaten in them all so looks a few pounds high. Smarter was also well beaten on the same track last month but showed his liking for Fibresand with a runaway victory at Southwell for which he's been raised a massive 14lb. BO SAMRAAN (NAP) wasn't beaten far in a Class 2 handicap at Newmarket on his final start last season and stared favourite for his comeback at Nottingham where he couldn't quite quicken over the 1m2f. He's by Sea The Stars so the longer trip shouldn't be a problem and he looks reasonably treated. Fox Fearless showed promise for Ralph Beckett last season and ran well until weakening in the closing stages on his reappearance at Leicester so isn't out of this while Allocator, who was heavily supported on his debut at Lingfield in January, makes his handicap debut from a lowly mark.
