Mardood completed a ha-trick on the Flat and over hurdles last March and though running poorly at Catterick last month found the 3m2f much too far. Tiger Line is another who didn't stay that extreme trip at Plumpton last time after a better run over today's distance at Chepstow. KINGS GUARD looked a very progressive type when scoring impressively at Hexham in March and was only outpaced from the last on heavy ground when last seen there in November. He hasn't had much racing and can prove too good for these. Bene Lad will come in for support after a fine victory over the trip at Ayr but the handicapper has done him no favours with a 10lb rise.
