      Verdict

Without a win in Ireland, Gold Brocade has switched to Mick Appleby’s yard and could figure but another chance goes to HAVANA DAWN. The latter did well to finish only a length behind the winner at Wolverhampton last week having lost ground after missing the break and a change of headgear may see Philip Makin’s filly quickly away on this occasion. Castlehill Retreat’s recent good form has been over longer trips, including a victory over 7f here, so River Cam is preferred in first-time headgear having placed at Kempton on her handicap debut.
