In depth

Verdict

Pickett's Charge went close to landing a four-timer when runner-up at York but has a further 4lb rise to contend with. Street Poet bids for a hat-trick having won lower grade races at Wolverhampton back in April but Mudawwan has the more recent form with a victory over 7f here last month. ALFRED RICHARDSON has only raced twice on the all-weather so far but was third in a Class 2 handicap at Redcar last time and a similar effort should see John Davies’ charge bang there at the finish today. Testa Rossa won here last month and Billy Roberts could also be in the mix.
