Collection is taken to see off Hampton Court and Red Tarn. The son of Peintre Celebre shaped well on debut at Salisbury and a reproduction of that form behind the 90-rated horse should prove just about good enough. Hampton Court is a well-bred individual who should prove better as a three-year-old rather than at two. The market should offer most clues. Red Tarn is a little more speedily bred than most. Royal Applord finished second in a Pontefract maiden to Generous Thought. It remains to be seen if that form can be transferred to this surface. Power Desert didn't show a lot on debut but as a son of Anabaa, he wouldn't be out of it if showing improvement. Collection holds entries in the Classics next year and any ambitions of that nature will require victory here by the very least.
